| Brian Turner is one of Britain's most successful & well-known chefs. In addition to running highly respected restaurants in the UK, he has become a successful television personality, appearing regularly on Ready Steady Cook, This Morning, Saturday Cooks & Saturday Kitchen. |
| After training at some of the most prestigious hotels & restaurants in Europe including Simpson's in the Strand & The Savoy Grill, Brian went to the Beau Rivage Palace in Lausanne, returning to England to work at Claridge's & then the Capital Hotel where he & Richard Shepherd earned a prized Michelin star. |
| During his period at the Capital, Brian was responsible for the launch of the Greenhouse Restaurant & the Metro Wine Bar, becoming Executive Chef of both. Amongst the many well-known chefs who worked with Brian at the Capital were Gary Rhodes & Shaun Hill who now have their own Michelin starred restaurants. |
| In 1986 Brian opened his own restaurant, Turner's in Knightsbridge which set new standards for the British chef-owned restaurants - attracting a blend of local & international regulars. In 2001 whilst Turner's was at its' height Brian took another momentous career step & sold it. |
| In February 2002, Brian Turner's Restaurant opened at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Birmingham's NEC, in association with the Aramark Contract Catering Company. This was set up as a three year Contract. |
| In April 2003 Brian launched Brian Turner Mayfair at the Millennium Hotel, London Mayfair. The restaurant served modern British food within a relaxed & comfortable environment. This closed after a five year Contract. |
| January 2005 saw the launch of Turner's Grill at The Copthorne Hotel Slough-Windsor, a 36-seater restaurant serving simple, honest food. In July 2006 Turner's Grill at the Birmingham Copthorne Hotel opened a 50-seater restaurant. Along with Mayfair, these have now closed after Brian finished working with the hotel group to concentrate on other commitments. |
| Brian's current working life allows him to present himself on various fronts; restaurants, food festivals/events around the country & abroad, consultancy & the media. |
| Despite his hectic schedule, Brian still manages to be heavily committed to various charities. |
| On 15th June 2002 in the Queen's Birthday Honours, Brian was awarded a CBE for his services to tourism & training in the catering industry, making a visit to the Palace to receive his gong! |
