DAVID DICKINSON

David Dickinson is a household name, undisputed darling of daytime TV & a respected antiques expert.

David was spotted by a producer for a BBC documentary about Antiques Dealing in 1996 after which he took daytime television by storm. His unique style - immaculate suit, matching tie & hanky, cufflinks & bracelet - blended with luxuriant 1970s hairdo, cheeky screen persona & irrepressible enthusiasm have all combined to create an unlikely cult hero.

When Bargain Hunt was launched on BBC1 in 2000 viewers flooded the production team with over a thousand letters a week pleading to appear on the show. It wasn't the prize money as there very rarely is any - they all wanted to meet David!

Students up & down the country have been adding to David's cult status by setting up appreciation societies & web sites in his honour. Magazines such as The Face & Loaded have also paid their respects.

Davids' interest in antiques started in childhood when he'd come home from school & help polish the brass & copper in his gran's house. David has been married to cabaret star Lorne Lesley (whose career he managed) for over 30 years & has two grown-up children.

His television career includes Bargain Hunt, The Antiques Show, The Holiday Programme & The Antique Hunter. He also wrote a book called The Antiques Buyer which is packed with advice on buying & selling antiques & put his best foot forward appearing on Strictly Come Dancing. David's latest projects include Dealing With Dickinson & Dickinson's Real Deal.

David is an hilarious raconteur - his warm nature & lust for life can brighten up any corporate event.
