JEREMY VINE

As of January 2007, Jeremy Vine became the new presenter of Panorama as it moved to its' new BBC1 prime-time slot on a Monday evening.

He has also recently taken over the Swingometer for all BBC specials & coverage for General Elections, By-Elections, Referenda, European Elections & US Elections. A role previously held by Peter Snow who took the swingometer, one of the classic props of British political broadcasting, from being a pendulum in the studio to a highly computerised diagnostic graphic.

Jeremy has previously hosted The Politics Show & two series of BBC interviews - the first with pop stars, the second with actors - entitled Jeremy Vine Meets.... He also presented Newsnight on BBC1 & was the BBC's Political Correspondent based at Millbank & prior to that their Africa Correspondent based in Johannesburg.

Jeremy studied English at Durham University & was a presenter on Metro Radio in the middle of the night. His career in journalism began with a traineeship at the Coventry Evening Telegraph. He supports Chelsea Football Club, avidly!
