For nine years he was a fast bowler with the Yorkshire County Cricket Club sharing the opening attack with the legendary Fred Trueman. Mike's toured Pakistan with the MCC & has commentated for Yorkshire Television.

Since leaving professional sport, Mike has been involved in the world of selling having retired from Penguin Books, where he was responsible for the sales in the North of England, speaking at conferences on behalf of the company.

His sporting & commercial experience has led him to be invited to many company functions to speak on two important factors in today's competitive world - teamwork & motivation.
