PHIL COOL

Unquestionably the world's only Stand-up Chameleon Phil Cool is armed with a controllable rubber face - & he's not afraid to use it! Phil's body, too, seems to be able to defy the normal anatomical laws.

With this unique weaponry, he can be anyone or anything instantaneously from international celebrity to intergalactic alien. He can be shocking, funny or shockingly funny. Phil's dextrous impressions & surreal comic sketches take us into a world where anything seems possible & the absurd seems credible. Phil is simply incredible & without doubt one of the most original & unique comic talents to come out of Great Britain.

The original Mr Rubber Face, Phil can metamorphose with ease from the Pope to Sylvester Stallone, Tina Turner to Forrest Gump, Jack Nicholson to Bugs Bunny, David Attenborough to a sea horse. Star Trek, Mr Bean even Pulp Fiction - nothing escapes the 'Cool' treatment.

Born Phil Martin in Chorley, Lancashire, Phil Cool shot to prominence in the late 80s when, after many hard years on the cabaret circuit a producer from the BBC spotted him working as an audience 'warm up' for the satirical television programme Spitting Image. This led to an appearance on daytime television's Pebble Mill which was so successful that he was immediately snapped up to record a series for the BBC.

Such was the response from the public & press that the series Cool It was repeated on BBC1 within a matter of months - unheard of for a new television artist. His second series won the Royal Television Society Award for Most Original Television Achievement with a third series screened the following year.

Since then, all three series have been repeated to great acclaim & Phil has also starred in his own BBC Christmas Special as well as two further series for Central TV; Cool Head & Phil Cool. His DVD releases have included Cool It, Cool It Too, Cool & Hot, Cool Head & Classic Cool. Not content with his television career Phil has also written a book & released an album on Virgin Records, Not Just A Pretty Face.
