KYRAN BRACKEN |
| Kyran Bracken first made his international debut in 1993 beating the All Blacks. 51 Internationals later winning 2 Grand Slams & a World Cup winners medal, Kyran retired from rugby at the end of the 2005/06 season. He experienced the highs & lows of first class rugby & witnessed first hand the transition to the professional game. |
| Born in Dublin in 1971 he was educated at Stoneyhurst College, Bristol University & graduated from the University of West of England. |
| He played for England Under 16s, Under 18s & Under 21s. In 1993 he played twice for England on their Summer tour of Canada & during November 1993 won his first Cap against the All Blacks. |
| He played in all the 5 Nations games in 1995 & twice during the 1995 World Cup in South Africa. He next played for England as a replacement against Italy in 1996 & returned to play for England in both games against Argentina in 1987. He was then called up as a replacement to the Lions squad for the 1997 tour to South Africa. |
| In 2001 he captained England on their summer tour to Canada where all 3 Tests were convincingly won by a predominately young side under Clive Woodward. Kyran toured New Zealand & Australia in 2003 & won his 50th Cap against Wales in the World Cup Quarter Finals in Australia. |
| Club wise, Kyran played for Bristol from 1992-1996 & Saracens from 1996 to the end of his career in May 2006. He captained Saracens for 2 seasons & was awarded a Testimonial in 2005. He was also in the 1995 Tetley Bitter Cup Final winning side when Saracens beat Wasps 48-18. |
| Kyran has a law degree & was admitted to the roll of a Solicitor in 1996. He is an intelligent guy & a very talented speaker where he's regularly called upon to MC events & give business speeches. Kyran is insightful, has the ability to educate, engage & entertain an audience & is always great fun to have around! |
| Kyran is married with 3 children & is now a recognised after dinner & motivational speaker with many amusing anecdotes of his very successful rugby career. |
| He was also the outright winner of the 2007 Dancing On Ice series & followed this up by winning the Champion of Champions. |
| Kyran is entrepreneurial, a Business Link ambassador & is not afraid of taking risks. He has an impressive property portfolio & now runs a touring ice skating show, Kyran's Ice Party as well as having other business interests. |
