Nick Owen is probably best known for presenting ITV’s flagship breakfast show, TV-am, interviewing Prime Ministers, major show business figures and of course members of the public with a story to tell.

They presented well over a thousand programmes together with their guests including Prime Ministers, major show business figures plus members of the public from across Britain with a story to tell!
Nick was on air the very first day TV-am broadcast in 1983 covering sport but within eight weeks was elevated to co-anchor to take over from David Frost. He later became ITV sport’s main presenter for six years during which time he presented the 1988 Olympics and the football World Cup in 1990 as well as a considerable number of other national programmes.
He presented all the Royal premieres on ITV from 1986 to 1992, reported for the travel programme Wish You Were Here and hosted the quiz shows Sporting Triangles, Hitman and After the News. Since 1997, Nick has presented the BBC regional TV news programme Midlands Today from Birmingham.
The Royal Television Society (Midlands) awarded him the Baird Medal for lifelong achievement in television in 2006.
