Clive Anderson is a former Barrister now famous for being a successful comedy writer as well as a radio & television presenter.

Clive developed his flair for comedy & performing when he studied at Selwyn College, Cambridge between 1972 & 1975 where he was President of the famous ‘Footlights’ revue group.

A man of many talents, Clive has several television writing credits to his name including; Not the Nine O’Clock News, Alas Smith & Jones & Around Midnight. He is also an accomplished performer on stage as a stand-up comedian performing on the alternative comedy circuit in the early 80s, on radio as host of The Cabaret Upstairs & on television as host & chairman of Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Whose Line? originally appeared on BBC Radio 4 in 1988 before transferring to the smal lscreen on Channel 4. Clive was Chairman for both & in 1989 the show received a BAFTA. Also on Channel 4 Clive presented ten series of his chat show Clive Anderson Talks Back, picking up British Comedy Awards in 1991 & 1992 before moving to BBC 1 with Clive Anderson All Talk.

Clive has interviewed many leading politicians, film stars, actors, comedians, musicians, singers & writers. In addition he’s presented a variety of other documentary, political, comedy, quiz, arts & live entertainment television programmes including The Big Read for the BBC also The Guardian Sports Quiz for Channel 4. On radio he chairs Unreliable Evidence, a legal discussion programme on Radio 4 & Chat Room, a satirical programme on Radio 2. Clive has also guested on various programmes including Have I Got News For You, Mock the Week & QI.
