Dr Kevin Jones is a Consultant Physician with an hilarious line in hospital humour.
He qualified in medicine from Liverpool University in 1977 and worked as a junior doctor in Liverpool & St. Helens. He spent four years on the Heart-Lung Transplant team at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge which was funded by the British Heart Foundation to study methods of protecting the lungs from acute injury.
He went on to work as a senior registrar in Respiratory Medicine at St.Bartholomew’s Hospital, London. In 1989, an opportunity arose for him to spend a year at The University of Colorado, Denver studying the release of the von Willebrand factor as a marker of acute lung injury.
In 1992, Dr. Kevin Jones was appointed consultant physician with an interest in respiratory medicine and HIV disease to Bury Hospital, Lancashire.
He is the author of the MD Thesis: “Clinical & Experimental Studies into the effect of Prostacyclin on the Pulmonary Vasculature”.
Between 1978 & 1982 and in his spare time Kevin was medical officer to Huyton Rugby League FC & since 1992 medical officer to Salford RLFC.
Kevin gives a very amusing speech on the lighter side of the medical profession with some hilarious anecdotes on his work during his very successful career. Speaking at any type of event to any audience, his humour is universal. His audiences love him, his patients survive him & the British Medical Association don’t know what to do with him!
